Reports

Litigation often requires a meteorology report. Most hurricane reports necessitate a timeline of sustained wind speed, wind gusts, water elevation (if a surge occurred in the region), and wave height estimates, as well as general information about the event. All hurricane reports were site-specific for a particular home or building. The reports utilized all available data, including in situ winds, hurricane flight data, NOAA products, tide gauge data, high water marks, and a storm surge model.

Other reports have been written for litigation resulting from severe weather events, such as thunderstorms, wind events, and anomalous wave conditions offshore.

Often, a subpoena is issued for a deposition and all available data used in a report. Its important to hire an expert who had experience in handling these stressful inquisitions, since they often determine whether a dispute will go to court or will settle.
